Guild member Kris Berg taught a textile origami workshop on March 16th. Students learned how to mark and hand stitch fabric to create one of several pleating designs.
On March 11, guild member Jane Pearlmutter presented our program. She shared her adventures about a recent visit to France, focusing on hand embroidery and shopping the markets for vintage textiles. The group also visited a small village near the chateau where the 14 members of the group stayed. Then they were off to Versailles and Paris to search out treasures of thread/notions/needlework stores and shopping at one of the flea markets.
